The 15L size is perfect for my short torso, and it still swallows a water bottle, snacks, and a light jacket for day hikes. Straps stayed comfortable on a two-hour walk, no shoulder ache at all.
Bought this for my 8-year-old and the 15L size fits her back way better than my old daypack did. She carries a water bottle, lunch, and a jacket with room to spare, and the straps don't slip off her shoulders.
Finally a 15L bag that doesn't swallow my whole back. I'm 5'1" and the compact cut actually sits right on my shoulders instead of sliding around. Still fits a water bottle, snacks, and a light jacket for day hikes.
