My 4-year-old insists on wearing this everywhere now, and the padded straps actually keep it from sliding off her shoulders during walks to preschool. It's light enough that she forgets she's wearing it, which is more than I can say for her old one.

Christopher Q. ★★★★★

The dino spikes on this backpack are soft, not stiff plastic like I feared, so my son doesn't complain when it rubs against his back. It's light enough that he forgets he's wearing it on the walk to preschool.

Adam ★★★★★

My daughter wears this every day now and the padded straps really do keep it comfy even when it's loaded with her snacks and water bottle. It's surprisingly light for how much it holds, and the spikes have survived being tossed around the car and playground for weeks.
